Stay
So what is that you do,
Coming up the slate stairs,
The stranger with wild grey hair
And a worn, washed, dapper suit
The grill warped around,
I look in to his eyes
A pink neon explosion from a waterball
The screeching, sashaying down
Pouring into the hall
The passers by
Now standing still
Now vacant eyed
Seeing their souls
Floating by
On the grey tar
A red engine halts
Bells tinker down
Firemen rush in
Water in waves crashing down.
Sweeping away.
